What is digital photography?
Digital photography is a form of photography that uses digital technology to make images of subjects.
What is a digital camera?
a camera that encodes an image digitally and store it for later reproduction
How is a picture produced through conventional photography?
Traditional photography uses the action of light to cause changes in a film of silver halide crystals in which development converts exposed silver halide to (nonsensitive) metallic silver. Following exposure in a camera or other device, the film or plate is developed, fixed in a solution that dissolves the underdeveloped silver halide, washed to remove the soluble salts, and dried. How is a digital camera different than a conventional camera?
Conventional cameras depend entirely on chemical and mechanical processes -- you don't even need electricity to operate them. On the other hand, all digital cameras have a built-in computer, and all of them record images electronically.
What are pixels and resolution?
Computerized images are made up of pixels, which are small squares of digital information with a color value. The number of pixels per inch needs to be associated with the dimensions of the image in order to give the image resolution. The more data that is recorded by a digital camera or scanner, the higher will be the resolution of the image file.
What are the specifications of the camera that you will use to take your pictures?
My camera is a Sony Cyber-shot, which has 10.1mega pixels, 4x zoom, and 1080 full hd still image.
What makes a picture a good picture? Give some tips for taking pictures.
Some things that make a good picture are whether it is in focus or no; whether it has been properly exposed, is it too light, too dark, or just right; whether it's clear what the subject is in the picture; whether the photographer made the best use of the frame; whether the photo can be improved by judicious cropping; and did the photographer notice and take advantage of leading lines, shapes, and textures. To take a good picture you just have to keep these things at the back of your mind.
What is a scanner?
A scanner is an electronic device that generates a digital representation of an image for data input to a computer.
What kind of scanner will you use to scan your pictures?
The scanner I will be using is a dell printer which can be used as a scanner.
How will you transfer pictures to the computer?
To scan a picture onto the computer, first you lift the top of the scanner and place the picture face down on the scanning glass. Then you close the top over the picture and press the "color" button under the setting "scan." The picture will scan onto the computer, and will probably show up under the program, paint. You can then take the picture out of the scanner and manipulate the copy of the picture on the computer as you like.

5 Rules of Good Photography
According to digital-photography-school.com the five main "rules" of good photography are more like five main elements. It's more the things you look for to make a picture more aesthetically pleasing than actual guidelines that you have to follow with your camera. The first element is patterns. You have to learn to see the patterns all around us, because they can lead to beautiful shots. You can either highlight the patterns, of highlight when the patterns are broken. The second is symmetry. Symmetry can either make or break a picture. The third element of taking a good picture is texture. Texture can make a two dimensional picture seem three dimensional. The fourth element is depth of field. It can either isolate a subject from its foreground and background of it can put a subject in context. The fifth and final element of taking a good picture is lines. They can draw the eye to the key focal points in an image.

Spreadsheets
The last time I used a spreadsheet was in 7th grade, during technology class. In the class they taught you the basics of the different Microsoft Office products. However, I had never heard of the Data Form before. I think this will make using Excel easier for me, because I always hated looking through the whole spreadsheet for an item that matched specific requirements. It will also help when I need to enter data because I won't have to click from box to box- I can just tab through the different fields for each person. I haven't had to use Excel anytime this year (except in this class) but now if I do need to use it, I think it will be fast and easy.

Different Colors of M&M's
The candy I chose to look at the different colors were regular M&M's. Out of the two bags, the majority were blue or brown. In fact, blue and brown M&M's represented about 50 percent of the total M&M's. Orange and red were the least common of the total number of M&M's, representing only about 20 percent of the total M&M's. The ratios of the colors per bags stayed about the same for both bags, but there were significantly more brown M&M's in the second bag. However, the color of your M&M shouldn't really matter because they all taste the same.

What I will do on Wednesday if we have a snow day.
Well... I guess I will just hang out at home. I have a history thing I have to work on. I guess I could hang out with one of my neighbors if they are home. Sleep? A lot? And if my parents are home then I guess they could give me a ride to the mountain...
