Picture 5

This is an example of art photography. I put the picture in black and white, because that is a common characteristic of art pictures. This follows the rule of thirds, because the sun is in the bottom third of the picture. Also, the picture has aesthetic value because it has good contrast between the trees and the sky. Also, the thick tree in the left third of the picture follows to rule of thirds to make the picture more pleasing. Lastly, the many lines keep you interested in the picture, so you can look at it for a long time.

This is a picture is an aerial photograph. It is a picture of my lawn from the 2nd story window. This is a good picture because it has texture, from the leaves. The texture makes it look more 3dimentional. Also it follows the rule of thirds, because the line of leaves crosses the picture it the last and bottom third of the picture. The picture is in focus, so you can clearly see what is in the picture.

This picture is an example of nature photography (because it is a picture of trees, which are part of nature.) It follows the rule of thirds, because the two main trees of the picture and the rope swing form three vertical lines. Also, the coniferous bushes fill the bottom third of the picture. Another thing, the branches form horizontal lines which pull your eyes toward the center of the picture to the focal point, which is the rope swing. The dark background contrasts with the white swing, so you can clearly see which is which. Lastly, the picture is in focus, so all parts of it are easy to see.

This is a picture of me and my friends when we went camping when we were little. This picture has good and bad parts about it. The good parts are that The picture has okay lighting and every one is in the picture. The bad parts are that the tent isn't centered, its only part in the picture. Also, the people are so far away its hard to tell who they are. If my parents had zoomed in a little, maybe the picture would have come out better. Also, if they zoomed in a little more, than the tent flaps would have created a "rule of thirds" effect, by having them fill the first and last thirds of the picture.

This is a picture of me and my friend in preschool. This is a pretty good picture, but my parents could have done a couple things to make it better. Firstly, they could have waited a couple seconds later, that way, I wouldn't have food in my mouth and my friend's eyes would be open. Besides that, I guess they could have got the two mother's butts behind us out of the picture. For the goof things about this picture I'd say, they did a good job of center us rather than follow the rule of thirds. I think it look better this way. Also, I thing they had good light for this shot because it is easy to see us, and our faces are not in shadows.

This is a picture of when I was picking strawberries when I was little. This is not a very good picture. This picture is a good example of why you shouldn't take a picture at noon. At noon the sun is right above your head, and this creates shadows over people's faces. As you can see, my hair blocked out the top part of my face and you can't really see me. To make this picture better, my parent should have taken the picture right when we got to the strawberry field, so the sun wouldn't be so high in the sky. Also, they could have asked me to look up a little bit, or pull back my hair, so that my face wasn't all in shadows.

This is a picture of me and my brother on our deck. this is a pretty good picture. This picture follows the rule of thirds. The first side of the deck is in the first third, me and my brother are in the second third, and the second half of the deck is in the third third. This picture also has good contrast between the subjects and the background, so you can tell what is us and what isn't. Also, the picture is if focus. One problem is that there looks like there is a small tree growing out of my brother's head.
