Also, there is enough contrast between the flower and the background so you can tell which is which. This picture is a another good example of macro-photography, which is when pictures are taken at close range.

This picture has very good contrast between the background and the object of focus, which is also clearly shown as the focus point of the photo. The rule of thirds is shown too because the main part of the flower is in the last third. It is overall a very good example of good photography.
